A boat rental usually means hiring a smaller vessel for a block of time, either bare-boat or with a basic skipper. You board, you go out, you come back. It is self-directed: your food, your music, your plan, your responsibility. Prices start low, often between S$300 and S$600 for a half day, because the setup is simple.
For experienced boaters who want independence and do not need anyone else aboard, a rental is a perfectly sensible choice. We mean that. If steering your own day is the point, you do not need us.
What a charter changes
A charter is a hosted day. Which one is for you
If you are comfortable running the day yourself and independence is the appeal, rent, and enjoy it. If the point of the day is to be a guest at it, to be present with the people you brought rather than managing the logistics, then chartering is the difference between a boat you drove and a day you remember.
